1965 – Harley Davidson Again Sweeps Daytona Beach

For the 2nd year in a row Roger Reiman Kewanee Illinois #1 rider on a Harley Davidson beat all in the 200 mile Daytona Road Race in a driving rain storm……

Mert Lawwill came in 2nd….

In the amateur event, rider Wayne Cook, Harley-Davidson mounted, bested the entire field and set a new record with an average speed of 92.43 mph….
